CONTACT provides Personal Care Kits to victims of sexual assault in the emergency rooms of Cabell Huntington Hospital, St. Mary’s Medical Center, Logan Regional Medical Center, and Rivers Health (previously Pleasant Valley Hospital) when a victim’s clothing is kept by the police as evidence.
Each kit contains new lounge pants, a t-shirt or sweatshirt, underwear, sports bra (as needed), socks, and flip-flops in sizes from XS – 3XL.
Kits also include a washcloth or wet wipes, toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, deodorant, feminine pads, soap, etc. in travel-sized containers. We also offer special items for our unhoused or otherwise in-need clients.
We pack all items in large (2-gallon size) zip-lock bags and include information for follow-up services for the victims and families.
