Follow Up Services
After the initial crisis, a CONTACT Advocate will continue to be available, offering practical and emotional support to survivors and their loved ones for as long as necessary.
These Follow-Up Services May Include:
- Simply be available to talk on the phone or in person and validate your feelings and experiences without judgment.
- Helping to file paperwork for housing, food or clothing pantry services, protective orders, Victim Information and Notification Everyday (VINE), or the West Virginia Crime Victim Compensation Fund.
- Make the first call to connect you with other service agencies – mental health, housing, and social services.
